A relatively early experiment with generative art by Kim Asendorf, 12c was originally created in 2012 and later minted a series of NFTs on the Tezos blockchain in 2021. There are 80 works in the series, and each feature 12 frames of animation and 12 colors in a modest 720-by-576 grid. The colors cover the full spectrum and animations pulse with chaotic layers of stripes and moiré patterns. The glitching surface is less chaotic than it seems, however, because the abstract structure of each image is not moving at all, rather it is only the colors that are cycling through an ornate but rigid pattern.
