Collection of Random Windows

Computer Technique Group (CTG)

1968

Print

43"x31"

Description

Every cell of the grid is a window of nested squares spiraling inward toward an aperture whose position changes with random numbers. In the work, the overall layout has been predetermined, but the details are determined by randomness. No member is credited with idea or program.

Like Perspective Pillar Collection, it was not part of the Cybernetic Serendipity submission; it was shown for the first time at the Tokyo Gallery exhibition in September 1968.
