Description

This collage of painted helixes and triangular bands of color demonstrates the dynamic visual language of Arte Generativo, a movement Eduardo Mac Entyre cofounded in Argentina with fellow artist Miguel Ángel Vidal. Interlocking curves overlap in a rhythmic, vibrating composition that transforms geometric abstraction into a study of motion and collision. Light blue shapes contrast with the solid black rectangular core, while arcing lines plotted by mathematical algorithms form a shimmering knot at the work’s center.

The hand‑cut, painted, and carefully arranged elements reflect Mac Entyre’s interest in experimental physics, orbital patterns, and atomic energy, inviting us to experience unseen forces in states of dynamic change. Forms appear to project, recede and converge all at once. Considering himself to be a self-taught artist, Mac Entyre had also studied industrial mechanical drawing, which gave him the technical competence he needed to meticulously plot the spiral forms, which recall Fibonacci sequences.
