Full Bio

Marc Maurer is a generative artist whose practice is rooted in abstract art and graffiti. Since discovering generative art in 2021, he felt a desire to continue his practice in the digital space. HHe found the field to be conceptually rich, and at times challenging to navigate, especially without a background in programming. Yet it is through this process that he reconnects with the elements that make up the world around us, seeing and admiring them from a new angle.

His work resists fixed categorization, often exploring color fields and geometric forms inspired by memory, nature, and textile patterns. Maurer works with GANs, P5.js, and a pen plotter, blending digital tools with physical output. His work was recently shown alongside Lenia Mascha’s in INTERLACE, an exhibition at Galerie Data in Paris. The show focused on multi-colored plotter drawings and how layered, step-by-step pattern-making can take on a texture that feels woven.
