On the A-side, Spiegel’s work with the ElectroComp 101 synthesizer unfolds in tandem with Christensen’s propulsive drumming, creating a dynamic interplay between programmed sound and live improvisation. The B-side features an alternate version of “Patchwork,” drawn from Spiegel’s The Expanding Universe, offering a contrasting glimpse into her solo explorations of algorithmic composition.
